Still smiling

Charlie is still smiling.
At times he has a certain baby orangutanesque quality (it's the hair)...
Although usually he looks more like General William T. Sherman to me.

our new pet

A little more cuddly than Sam and Ann's -- and we will not let them play together. Her name, for now, is Favor. (Click to see larger images, the howling one especially cute.)

Our new pet

Woke up this morning to repeated screeching--look out the bathroom and see:
Immature red-tailed hawk eating a squirrel for breakfast. Turns out his breakfast was too heavy to carry off, hence the screeching.

Now he is gone, but at least we have a half-eaten squirrel on our roof to remember him by.

Spring Skiing

Harper and Brooke have been tearing it up on the slopes - three days of wonderful skiing this week. We stayed in Girdwood (Alyeska Ski Resort) overnight with Joel & Brooke so they could maximize their time on the hill. Four hours later they were tired ski bunnies.

Where's Waldo? Notice that Sniffy also enjoyed time on the mountain.

Brooke and Harper playing "follow the leader" down the hill - basically a race to the bottom. Harper looked overhead and saw the big ski lifts heading up the mountain and asked if she could go up to the top. I think we're in trouble.
