our new pet

A little more cuddly than Sam and Ann's -- and we will not let them play together. Her name, for now, is Favor. (Click to see larger images, the howling one especially cute.)

Woke up this morning to repeated screeching--look out the bathroom and see:

Immature red-tailed hawk eating a squirrel for breakfast. Turns out his breakfast was too heavy to carry off, hence the screeching.

Now he is gone, but at least we have a half-eaten squirrel on our roof to remember him by.
